It's become a cliche for artists to curse at their supposedly idiotic executives.
There are truly idiotic executives out there. Lots, probably, but we should consider that they don't represent them as a whole. Look at Linda Simensky. She truly saved animation in the 90s.
Here's another tribute to an exec, this time to Jay Bastian from C.H. Greenblatt.
Animation executives aren't perfect. Many give idiotic notes and can make cartoons worse, but remember, without executives a '90s "Ren & Stimpy" would've looked like the "Adult Party Cartoon" revival, and we wouldn't want that, would we?
Of course, the execs I'm talking about actually likes cartoons. Animation execs who doesn't like cartoons will always do a bad job no matter what.
