Animation How-To

Anyone recommend a good Animation How-To book? I mean hand-drawn animation, not Flash or CGI.

Alot of people said good things about Preston Blaire's book. Any other suggestions?

"Animation from Script to Screen" by Shamus Culhane and "The Animation Book" by Kit Laybourne should be your two starting points. The Preston Blair books are good as well but they aren't as nutty-bolty.

Thanks, Dave. I'll check them out.

Richard William's "Animator's Survival Kit" and Eric Goldberg's "Character Animation Crash Course" are essential if you're interested in character animation.
