Calimero is an Italian cartoon character created by husband-and-wife team Nino and Toni Pagot. Initially created for commercials in Italian television, the character was eventually adapted into a series of short films in the country.
The story typically involves Calimero, a black chick wearing an eggshell on his head, annoying an adult (whether his father, teacher, or a criminal that he happens to come across), getting them in trouble due to his naive behavior, and getting yelled by them to stay away, prompting Calimero to cry "It's an injustice!" However that's not all there is to Calimero. In 1975 a Japanese company called K&S bought the rights to produce an anime based on the character. They contracted animation production to Toei Animation Co. and produced 45 episodes, which was broadcast on NET network (now known as TV Asahi).
