Hagar the Horrible

This is an excerpt from the animated Hagar the Horrible special that Hanna-Barbera produced. It aired around the time the creator, Dik Browne, was dying.



Design wise, it was faithful to the strip it was based on, but otherwise, the story was boring, typical of animated cartoons at the time. Even Chris Browne, Dik Browne's son, left a negative review about it in his Amazon.com review.

Dog eat Doug

My latest addition to my originals collection: "Dog eat Doug" by Brian Anderson.

Mr. Anderson frequently does a contest on his website where a winner recieves an original of his strip. I was one of them, and it just came today.

I'm a big fan of Keith Knight's weekly strip, The K Chronicles, so let me just say that I'm looking forward to his new comic strip, The Knight Life, now offering to daily papers from the good folks at United Media.

Dog eat Doug

Thought I take the opportunity to plug one of my favorite strips - Dog eat Doug by Brian Anderson.

It's a fun comic about a love/hate relationship between a new-born baby (the "Doug" in the title) and a dog, a chocolate lab named Sophie.

You can read it on comics.com and also at the cartoonist's website (it has a two week delay, but the comics are posted bigger). It also runs in over 50 newspapers nationwide.
